Jonathan Hoffman is a successful physiotherapist and sports entrepreneur. He came to Taga with an idea for a non-electric running device, but following a short study conducted by our team and given the marketing and manufacturing challenges he faced, we recommended he reposition his product and target the Pilates equipment market. This enabled him to manufacture the product from metal and wood to save tooling costs and sell it through Pilates studios.
We developed and designed a highly modular product, based on the principle of stretchable rubber bands. You can adjust the degree of difficulty according to the number of rubber bands, you can position the strollers in one or two tracks, you can connect the CoreAlign to a Swedish ladder, use the product with your legs, arms, and work with every muscle in your body.
Jonathan developed 200 exercises on the device with paying trainees, thus returning his investment and later sold the whole business (product, the IP, the methodologies, and the exercises) to Balanced Body, the world’s leader in Pilates equipment. The product is now a highly successful device and is being used in many studios and homes worldwide. Even Cristiano Ronaldo, the football star, is using it at home on a frequent basis.

Jonathan Hoffman’s dream was to create a non-electric running device for home use.
We helped Jonathan to change the strategy and target the Pilates market. We then designed, engineered, and manufactured the first units of the CoreAlign. Jonathan created 200 exercises on the CoreAlign and made a major exit by selling the business to the world leader in the Pilates domain.
