Ultrashape Power – Body contouring device

Ultrashape is a non-surgical fat reduction ultrasound-based device.

When concentrated, ultrasound waves can penetrate deep into the tissue, “melting” the fat and contouring the body. Ultrashape’s ultrasound technology is one of the few fat reduction technologies that can keep its promise and is also FDA approved.

Taga was asked to redesign the older Ultrashape system and make it more user-friendly. The earlier product was large, with an outdated design and the body contouring procedure was too long and complicated for the therapist. The goal was to reduce the entire size and complexity of the system into a compact and easy-to-use solution.

Tags have reshaped the system to make it smaller, lighter, and with an elegant design.

As part of the process, we developed an improved handpiece, which included an oil-filled flexible pad that enabled an acoustic coupling between the ultrasonic transducer and the body. The pad was created in a shape that allowed the concentration of the gel that is applied to the body during the treatment.

The system has a special camera on a special arm, which looks at the handle during the procedure, identifies its position, and signals via a special screen, when and where to move the handle to the next treatment area. This shortens the treatment time and helps to avoid mistakes. When overheating, there is a disconnector that stops the operation of the device automatically.
