SPECT/CT – Imaging system

Valiance x12 is a revolutionary whole-body CZT SPECT/CT.

There are quite a few imaging systems that scan the whole body, but molecular dynamics, founded by professor Shlomo Ben-Haim, a renowned medical device entrepreneur, have created a special and innovative one. Valiance x12 combines CT and spect technology and provides in one scan 3d imaging of both the hard and soft tissues. It significantly increases productivity and image quality compared to SPECT or PET systems due to improved resolution and sensitivity, enabled by its innovative cadmium zinc telluride (CZT ) based technology.

Taga was hired to design the valiance x12 so both technologies, combined, will look like one unified and superior product.

So we did. The CT scanner, which was purchased from a third party, was stripped from its enclosure and its internals were connected to the CZT spect system, which was developed in-house by molecular dynamics.

Taga then design and developed a special enclosure + bed that on one hand gives the system a unified and luxurious look, which demonstrates its technological superiority, and on the other hand, shows that there are two technologies inside.

The sleek curves were implemented on two l-shape parts – the front CZT SPECT and the rear, opposite l for the CT. This has created a beautiful, seamlessly unified system that is not only worth millions but also looks like it is worth it.
